Our IT Solutions & Services department

IT plays a key role within Julius Clinical. We offer various IT solutions and services to support our clients in conducting clinical trials. The IT department (7 Fte) consists out of 2 teams; the Technology & Services team that looks after our infrastructure and providing end-user support, and the Information & Solutions team looking after our business applications and business intelligence. You will report to the Head of IT.

Things you and the team will focus on to ensure our high standards

Operational Excellence: Providing efficient IT services and support; Delivering projects on time and with high quality; Adoption of best practices and maturing our processes; Measuring success and looking for continuous improvement; Enhancing our technology and services support model

Strategic Platform; Rationalizing infrastructure to align with our strategy; Simplification, reducing complexity and overhead (waste); Improving integration between systems and processes; Minimizing any risks that could impact business operations; Ensuring compliance and a secure technology platform

Business Success; Increasing our business knowledge to provide the best solutions; Improving the visibility of our solutions and services with the business; Sustaining a culture focused on business value and productivity

Your daily tasks will be

  • Receiving an answering and/or resolving users’ questions or issues directly as much as possible (via Service Desk Portal)
  • Monitoring the progress of tickets and taking appropriate actions
  • Accepting and coordinating escalations
  • Identifying and documenting structural issues
  • Monitoring and managing the Service Desk Portal
  • Contribute to improving the operational functioning of the IT Service Desk
  • Working on projects for IT infrastructure and system implementation or changes
  •  participating in the implementation of standard technology projects and in change management process.
What we are looking for in you
  • Education (MBO -HBO level) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field;
  • 2+ years’ experience as an IT Support Technician, Infrastructure Analyst or similar;
  • Verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English;
  • Great team player as well as able to work independently;
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and timelines;
  • Result oriented, objective driven, self-motivated;
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Industry certifications such as; ITIL, MCSA, A+ or similar;
  • Experience in the infrastructure space such as; Microsoft technologies including Cloud (365), VMware, Linux, Storage, Databases, Network Switches, Firewalls, Proxy and VPN;
  • Flexible working hours.
